I bought a thinkpad T60 from Nibby, and the SSD has mysteriously børked on me. It says 2100 HDD initialization failure. I’m thinking about installing Mac OS X on it, probbaly lion or Mavericks. Thoughts?
It was running windows XP before, and My main laptop is running windows 8.1. I’ve used various builds of windows 7, kali Linux (I suprisingly liked and didn’t like it), Ubuntu, and CrOs on my CR-48, which is immensely underpowered often suffers the brute of me changing OS’s.

I’m sure Nibby would be more than willing to sell you a replacement. hehehehe

I’m not trying to break Nibby’s balls nor will I. It’s a pretty common thing and I’m not returning it. I’m improving it.

Several times, it’s apparently pretty common with thinkpads.

I wonder what driver support would be like for OSX. I’d guess next to non-existent.

Maybe it's for the better it børked, before you saw anything that couldn't be unseen.

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/16… Suprisingly versus other laptops, the Thinkpads (older ones especially) have lots of community backing. I like that in a laptop, you can’t really get that any more, especially with a magnesium chassis laptop with drainage holes on the bottom..

Join windows 10 tech preview. Then if they don’t kick it down, bay the 100$.

So sorry this happened. I have never had any issues with that machine.
There are some good guides out there about how to install hackintosh on it, but be aware that the Intel 4965AGN card doesn’t work with Hackintosh... in fact, no intel wireless cards do IIRC. I’d send you a spare wifi card for free, but...
of course, all the spare ones I have are Intels. :(
